What our ESG reporting service includes
ESG reporting means publishing reliable information about your environmental, social and governance performance: what your impacts and risks are, how you manage them and what results you achieve. Customers ask for it in supplier questionnaires, banks use it in lending decisions, investors use it to compare companies, and in some markets the law now requires it.
Our approach is simple: we evaluate your environmental, social and governance performance to create transparent, data-driven sustainability reports. In practice that means a structured project. We agree which framework the report follows, identify the topics that matter for your business, collect and check the data, and write the report with you.
The data is the hardest part for most companies. Energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, water, waste, workforce figures, health and safety, training, diversity, supply chain practices and governance arrangements usually sit in different departments and systems. We help you gather them into one consistent set, with the calculation methods recorded.
- Framework selection: GRI Standards, ISSB standards, or your customer's or regulator's requirements
- Materiality assessment to decide which topics the report covers
- Greenhouse gas inventory for scope 1 and scope 2, and scope 3 where needed
- Data collection templates, checks and a record of methods
- Drafting of the report and an index to the chosen framework
- Recommendations for targets and data improvements for the next report
Which framework fits: the options in plain terms
The GRI Standards are the most widely used voluntary framework. They focus on your impacts on the economy, the environment and people, and suit companies reporting to a broad audience of customers, employees and communities.
The ISSB standards, IFRS S1 and IFRS S2, focus on sustainability and climate-related risks and opportunities that affect the company's financial prospects. They suit companies that report to investors and lenders, and several countries are adopting them into national rules.
In the European Union, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards require in-scope companies to report on a double materiality basis, covering both impact and financial materiality. The EU has been revising the scope and timing of these rules, so we check the current position for your company before planning. In the USA, California has introduced climate disclosure laws for larger companies doing business in the state.
Many medium-sized companies are not yet required to report but are asked by customers. For them a focused GRI-based report, or a short report built around customer questionnaires such as EcoVadis, is often the right start.
What decides the price
ESG reporting with EUROTECH starts at $2,500. The price depends on how much data has to be gathered and which framework applies.
- Framework: a focused GRI report, ISSB climate disclosures or a regulated report
- Number of sites and countries to include
- Greenhouse gas scope: scope 1 and 2 only, or scope 3 categories as well
- State of your data: existing systems or collection from scratch
- First report or update of an existing report
We confirm the scope, the deliverables and every fee in a written quote. A second year is usually quicker, because templates and methods are already in place.
Scope 3 emissions usually take the most effort, because they depend on data from suppliers and customers. We help you decide which categories matter for your business and start with reasonable estimates where supplier data is not yet available.
How ESG reporting works with us

Step 1
Baseline and data collection
We agree the framework and boundary, and collect data from each department with templates.

Step 2
Policies and actions
We map your policies and actions to the material topics and note gaps.

Step 3
Evidence and documentation
Figures are checked, calculation methods recorded and sources kept for assurance.

Step 4
Report and improvement
We draft and finalize the report with you and recommend targets for next year.
Reporting rules and expectations by region
We prepare ESG reports for companies in the USA, Europe, Asia and Africa. The drivers differ by region. In Europe, regulation and the requirements of large customers subject to it are the main drivers. In the USA, investor expectations, state climate laws and customer programmes dominate. In Asia and Africa, stock exchange rules, export customers and development finance lenders often set the requirements.
Exporters feel this most. A supplier in one country may need to answer the reporting needs of customers in several others, each using different frameworks. We design the data set so it can serve several frameworks and questionnaires without collecting the same figures twice.
Emission factors, grid electricity data and some social indicators are country specific, and we use sources appropriate to each location.
Reports can be prepared in English, the language most international customers and lenders expect.
What to expect during the project
We start with a kick-off meeting to agree the framework, the reporting period, the boundary of the report and the people who will provide data. Then we run the materiality assessment, using your strategy, your stakeholders' views and sector information, to decide which topics the report must cover.
Data collection follows, with templates for each department and checks for completeness and consistency. Where data is missing, we agree reasonable estimates and record the method, or note the gap and plan how to close it next year.
We then draft the report, review it with you and finalize it, including an index to the framework. The content stays your report: every figure and statement is based on information you provide and approve.
Governance topics are often the quickest to complete and the most overlooked: who on the board or management team oversees sustainability, how often it is discussed, how executive goals connect to it and which policies exist. We collect these with short interviews.
After the report
A first report is a baseline. Use it to set targets, such as reducing emissions intensity, improving safety or increasing the share of assessed suppliers, and build the data collection into normal routines so next year's report is faster and more reliable.
If independent assurance is required, by law or by a customer, prepare for it early: clear methods, source documents and an audit trail make assurance easier. Certified management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 also strengthen the evidence behind many ESG indicators.
Consistency between years matters as much as accuracy. Keep the same boundaries and methods where you can, and explain any change, so readers can compare one report with the next.
Please note: EUROTECH prepares ESG and sustainability reports with you. Where a law or a customer requires independent assurance of the report, that assurance is a separate engagement by an assurance provider.
Questions buyers ask
How much does ESG reporting cost?
With EUROTECH it starts at $2,500. Framework, sites, greenhouse gas scope, data readiness and whether it is a first report set the final price.
Which framework should we use?
GRI suits reporting on impacts to a broad audience; ISSB suits reporting to investors on risks and opportunities. Regulated companies follow the rules that apply to them.
Do you provide assurance of the report?
No. We prepare the report with you. Independent assurance, where required, is a separate engagement by an assurance provider.
What are scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions?
Scope 1 covers direct emissions from your own operations, scope 2 emissions from purchased energy, and scope 3 other indirect emissions in your value chain.
Is our company required to report under CSRD?
It depends on size, listing and EU presence, and the EU has been revising scope and timing. We check the current rules for your company.
Can the report help with EcoVadis?
Yes. Much of the same data and many of the same policies serve both, so preparing them together saves effort.
